THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Wayanad Collector Geetha A has been honoured with the Revenue Department's award for the best district collector. Sreelakshmi R, sub-collector in Mananthavadi in Wayanad district, was selected as the best sub-collector. Amrithavalli D (Palakkad) was selected as the best revenue divisional officer.

In a press conference, Revenue Minister K Rajan said that the award was decided on the basis of excellence in different fields. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will distribute the awards at a function to be held in Kollam on February 24, the revenue day.

The best collectorate award goes to Wayanad. Best RDO office is Mananthavadi and Taluk office is Thrissur.
