KASARGOD: A complaint has been filed against the principal for locking up students for complaining of dirt in drinking water. The incident happened at the Kasargod Government College. Principal M Rema locked up the students who complained of dirt in the water coming from the water purifier of the campus.
The principal did not like her students sitting in front of her when they came to complain. She asked her students to drink that water itself and said that she was busy that time. When the students decided not to leave the place unless a solution is taken, the principal went outside and locked up nearly 15 students from outside. They also complained that the principal used bad language. Rema had earlier courted controversy for making her students catch her leg.
The students have complained to the higher education minister and human rights commission over the issue. The students are planning to stage protests seeking action against the principal.
