MALAPPURAM: A 13-year-old boy ended his life over the unexpected death of his pet fish. He has been identified as Roshan R Menon (13), son of Raveendran of Changaramkulam in Malappuram. The incident happened Friday morning at 8 am. He was found hanging in the terrace when his family went in search of him. Roshan had gone upstairs at 7.30 am to feed his doves and not seeing him till 8.30, they went upstairs and then found him hanging. Though he was rushed to a private hospital in
Changaramkulam, his life could not be saved.

Roshan had an aquarium at home and his fish had died a few days ago. His family said that he was depressed over it. He was an eighth standard student of Mookuthala Higher Secondary School. His body kept in the mortuary of Sunrise Hospital in Changaramkulam, will be handed over to his relatives after postmortem.
