IDUKKI: Two were arrested for beating up a tribal man in Adimaly in Idukki. Sanju and Justin have been arrested in the case. Sanju is a CPM branch secretary. The incident happened during a temple festival near the place.

During late Shivaratri night, the temple was all lighted up in celebration while the fight unfurled. The CCTV visuals released also show the two beating down the tribal man Vineeth. The police were informed about the same but the department showed lax since the criminals had quite some clout over big political names. It was only after the SC-ST commission asked for a report that the police understood the seriousness of the matter.

A case has been charged according to the SC-ST act. Sanju surrendered before the police station while Justin was arrested from his home.
