RAIPUR: In a foreseen conclusion, the congress party came back to square one shattering all talks about the CWC elections and preferring the old ways of nomination. The decision was unanimous after many discussions say congress leader and AICC general secretary Jairam Ramesh.

After careful deliberation over the predicament the nation is facing, the steering committee zeroed in for a nomination process that will see inclusions of names from the SC/ST sector and a high number of participation from women members. Jairam Ramesh also added that the 16 amendments to 32 rules and regulations of the Congress’s constitution will also be discussed at the plenary.

The plenary session will start today morning with congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s introductory speech at morning 10: 30 am. Sonia Gandhi will also address the plenary session while Rahul Gandhi will attend the event only tomorrow. Earlier both Priyanka Gandhi and Rahul voiced for conducting an election for CWC instilling high hopes of breaking the usually set pattern of nomination that has turned redundant.
