THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Titanium Legal DGM Sasikumaran Thambi, the main accused in the Travancore Titanium job scam case, has been arrested. He surrendered at the Cantonment Police Station in the morning and his arrest was registered. He is an accused in 15 cases registered in connection with the titanium job scam. He was absconding after the job scam was exposed. Sasikumaran Thambi has admitted to interviewing candidates in connection with the titanium job scam. But he says that he has not taken money from anyone after promising a job. The accused will be produced in court today.
Earlier, Abhilash, key middlemen Divya Jyoti and Shyamlal, who brought candidates to Titanium for interviews in connection with the Titanium job scam, were arrested. After they were caught, the other accused were absconding. Divya Jyoti is the first accused and the main intermediary in the case. The complaint is that they have extorted about one and a half crore rupees from many people on the pretext of giving them jobs in titanium. Divya's husband Rajesh is also an accused in the case. The scam offered a job at a salary of Rs 75,000 per month, in posts including Assistant Chemist in Titanium.
Shyamlal, the other main accused, had also admitted that the company's Legal DGM Sasikumaran Thambi and others including himself had committed the fraud.
