THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A bystander in Trivandrum medical college was a victim of an attempted sexual assault. The culprit an auto driver named Shameer( aka Bombay Shameer) near Karikkakom in the city has been nabbed by the police.

According to police, the auto driver's wife was also admitted to the hospital. The driver befriend another girl in the hospital who was just aged 16. He took her in his auto and tried assaulting her. The girl came as a bystander to her sister who was admitted to the hospital. The police say the arrested auto driver Shameer is a habitual offender and his cases span many a title including robbery attempts. In both Kollam and Trivandrum districts, there are a total of 21 cases filed against him.
