PERAMBRA: CPM state secretary MV Govindan on Saturday said that with the launch of a vigilance probe into the Chief Minister's relief fund scam, it has become clear who all were behind the scam. He was speaking at a press conference in Perambra.
"It has come to light that the Congress MP from Attingal and the Leader of the Opposition were among those who recommended fake applications and submitted them to the government. It can be assumed that some acted as agencies to extort benefits. Why are the UDF and the media supporting them trying to hide this fact? A thorough investigation and further action should be taken in this regard," Govindan said.
Saffronisation at NIT
MV Govindan alleged that the MoU signed with the MAGCOM Institute under the RSS-controlled Kesari Bhawan was a continuation of efforts to saffronise NIT.
"The MoU was signed in the presence of Union Minister of State V Muraleedharan in a ceremony held at NIT yesterday. Student politics is being forbidden to prepare the ground for this. Once the courses are approved by the Senate, those appointed by MAGCOM will conduct the class along with the teachers here. Those who are insisting that student politics will not be allowed on campus are the ones who sanctioned the ABVP program and attended it. Such things should not be taking place in an educational institution in Kerala. There should be a strong protest against this," he said.
