RAIPUR: Former Congress president Sonia Gandhi on Saturday said she was glad that her innings could conclude with the party's mass outreach programme 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' while describing the march as "a turning point" for the party. She hinted that she would leave politics shortly.

"The 25 years since I took over as president in 1998 have been a time of great achievements and great disappointments. I received great support from Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during the UPA regime. Congress is not just a political party. It is a movement that brings the people of India together for freedom, equality and justice. Although the road ahead is tough, Congress will have ultimate victory," Sonia Gandhi said.

Sonia Gandhi also congratulated Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi.
