KANNUR: Congress leader Mullappally Ramachandran said that it was with a lot of pain that he decided not to attend the AICC plenary session in Raipur.

"I am facing severe neglect in the party. Therefore I'm abstaining from the plenary session," Mullappally said. He also alleged that KC Venugopal, VD Satheesan and K Sudhakaran are working as a caucus.

"I had even booked flight tickets to go to the plenary session. However, no one called me asking when I would come or whether I will come. Why should I bother to go if they don't want me? I was the KPCC president just before K Sudhakaran. Till now, the leadership has not contacted me for anything," he said.

"Shouldn't they seek my opinion as a matter of common courtesy before appointing someone else in my vacancy from Azhiyoor? It didn't happen. I came to know about KPCC, mandalam, block and DCC reorganizations only through the media. No other former KPCC president might have faced such neglect," Mullappally added.
