KOZHIKODE: The family alleged mystery in the death of the woman while undergoing treatment for burns. Shafeeda (40), a resident of Chaliyam in Kozhikode, died in the medical college hospital Sunday morning. She had given her death statement against her husband Jafar.

Shafeeda's family alleged that Jafar did not do anything when the fire broke out. His family including Jafar’s brother mentally harassed her. Shafeeda's brother Mohammad Rafiq demanded a detailed police investigation. Jafar arrested for abetment of suicide, has been remanded.
