BENGALURU: After his health deteriorated, PDP leader Abdul Nazer Mahdani may approach the Supreme Court seeking relief from his bail condition. As per reports, he is planning to seek permission to return to Kerala for further treatment.

Mahdani was admitted to the hospital this month after showing symptoms of a stroke. After an expert examination, it was found that the blood flow to the brain is low and the doctors suggested surgery. But considering Mahdani's current health condition, the surgery was postponed.

Mahdani has been staying in Bengaluru since 2014 following the Supreme Court's special bail conditions in the Bengaluru blast case. One of the strict bail conditions is not to leave Bengaluru. Before this, Mahdani had come to Kerala in October 2018 to see his mother who was suffering from cancer. He was received by the activists that day with their mouths covered in protest against the prohibition of public response.
