HYDERABAD: Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar alleged that the suicide of Dr Preethi (26), a PG medical student is a case of love jihad. He also alleged that Hindu women are being targeted on the basis of funds received from abroad.

Meanwhile, Preethi's family has come forward alleging that her death is a murder. "We want clarity on everything that happened including the details of the treatment received. We need to be informed about the action taken against Dr Saif, who was arrested for mentally harassing Preethi. She is not weak and would not end life on such an issue. This is a murder. Preethi's mobile phone has been opened using fingerprint and something has been deleted. She was killed after deleting all the details. Then it was portrayed as a suicide attempt'- alleged Preeti's younger brother Vamshi Prithvi.
