PATHANAMTHITTA: The audio of a CPM branch secretary threatening sand mafia demanding money for the prathirodha jatha led by CPM state secretary M V Govindan, is out. The phone conversation of Pathanamthitta Pulimukku branch secretary Arun Mathew is out.
When the sand mafia said they are ready to pay Rs 3000, Arun is heard saying that the party doesn’t want his donation and if not willing to pay Rs 15,000 (amount of a load of sand) will not compromise. Arun Mathew threatened saying that a complaint will be lodged in his name and will settle the rest of the things. The audio is three and a half minutes long. The two is heard arguing till the end of the conversation. However, Arun's explanation is that the conversation was not his and was edited and circulated by RSS workers of the area for political purposes.
