NEW DELHI: Exit poll surveys have predicted that the BJP alliance will retain power in Tripura. The BJP-led alliance is expected to win between 36 and 45 seats, according to the exit poll survey conducted by India Today and Axis My India. The Congress-CPM alliance will only be able to win 6–11 seats. The survey also predicted that TMP will win 9 to 16 seats. Elections were held for 60 seats in Tripura.
CPM had won 16 seats in the last election. According to the survey, CPM's vote share will decline from 42 percent to 32 percent this time. Pradyut Deb Burman's Tipra Motha Party will come second in the state while the Congress collapses.
The ZeeNews-Matrize exit poll predicted that BJP-IPFT will get 29-36 seats in the 60-member House. It said Left-Congress combine is poised to get 13-21 seats and Tipra Motha 11-16.
The ETG-Times Now poll predicted BJP would get 24 seats, Left-Congress would get 21 seats and Tipra Motha 14 seats. The BJP had won 36 seats in the 2018 assembly election.
The BJP had campaigned in the state by promoting the achievements of the central government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
