Playback singer and film director Vineeth Sreenivasan was seen hassling through the crowds at the Varanad temple festival. The video was circulated on social media on different platforms. However, the caption written for this video on all platforms showed a peculiar uniformity. It was mentioned that Vineeth was being chased by the crowds after doing a sombre musical night. The news even got its space on mainstream media that ran this without any retrospective action.

And now, busting all the myths propagated about the incident, Vineeth Sreenivasan himself has clarified the incident through his Facebook page.

"Unlike in recent times, the Varanad venue gave me all sorts of fulfillment. I enjoyed moments with the mic and the support from the people was wholesome, a very unique one in all aspects. However, midway through the program, the crowd started flooding the venue. The organizers in a bid to avoid a worst-case scenario asked to cut short the event to help manage the crowd. The vehicle was not allowed entry inside the temple premise, so had to run a bit to reach outside the temple. This is a clarification as the media ran many stories with many plots. It is my 20th year as a playback singer and I had the luck to be invited to Varanad one time before. The crowd here is special. If invited again, I will be there with the mic." Vineeth Sreenivasan said through his FB page.
