entrepreneurship

KANNUR: If interest is expressed, officials will visit homes and complete the process. A loan of up to Rs.10 lakh will also be provided. There will be a subsidy in interest for five years. Initially, it is planned to start at least 300 enterprises in a district. Four crore rupees have been earmarked for one year. At least ten thousand enterprises are targeted in the state in a year. Men who are unemployed at home will also be considered. Yesterday, an agreement was reached in this regard in a high-level meeting led by the officials of the Industries Department. A final decision will be taken in the meeting chaired by the Chief Minister tomorrow.

No other collateral is required for the loan

An individual or a group can start a business. It is enough to inform the authorities of the District Industries Center that you are interested. They will come to your home and complete the process. The industry itself has to be given as collateral for the loan. A permanent system including a portal to know the status of these industries is also under consideration.
