ALAPPUZHA: A native of Thrissur was nabbed with MDMA and hashish oil in Cherthala. Sangeeth (34) of Thrissur Anthicaud was held with 28 grams of MDMA and 27 grams of hashish oil in a search at the premises of Cherthala railway station jointly by Cherthala range party and Alappuzha IB. An engineering graduate, he regularly delivered drugs in and around Cherthala. He was under the surveillance of the excise shadow following information.

A team led by excise inspector V J Roy included assistant excise inspector N Babu, IB preventive officer Roy Jacob, Shibu P Benjamin, Mayaji D, civil excise officers B M Biyas, Pratheesh, Sreelal and women civil excise officer Seenamol K S.

Sale of drugs around Kozhikode apartment
A youth selling drugs was arrested from a room in Palazhi Landmark World Apartment near Kozhikode Highlight Mall. A team led by circle inspector C Sarath Babu arrested 28-year-old Savad, a native of Perumanna in Kozhikode. Four grams of MDMA were seized from him. Kozhikode excise circle office and anti-narcotics special squad jointly conducted the raid.

Preventive officer U P Manoj Kumar, civil excise officers Dilip Kumar D S and Ragesh were involved in the raid. T K, Justin V A, Deen Dayal S R, Suraj CK and excise driver Abdul Karim were also present.
