GURUGRAM: ‘Looks can be deceptive’ is a quote that we often use to describe situations. However, the quote found a perfect match today in an incident in Gurugram. Two people wearing shades with neatly tailored dress and in the opulence of a luxury car was seen near Gurugram in Haryana. But, starkly enough, all this show of opulence got shattered in a minute as the two VIPs were seen stealing flower pots and storing them safely in the trunk of their swanky SUV. The flowers were in full bloom and were deftly maintained for the G20 conference to be held soon.
All the incident was surreptitiously recorded by a man nearby who posted the video on social media platforms, which soared to thousand of views in minutes. Netizens critiqued the act and one comment said as “affluent but morally bankrupt thieves.”
The police identified the car and confirmed that the two VIPs are from Hisar in Haryana. The number plate of the car is 0006 which itself would have cost a lakh under the modified Haryana Motor Vehicle Regulations, 1993.
