sunstroke

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In view of the rising daytime temperatures in the state, the working hours of workers working in the sun have been rescheduled from March 2 to April 30. The decision was made keeping in mind the risk of sunburn.

Working hours are fixed at eight hours between 7 am to 7 pm. The labor commissioner informed that for the workers working in the shift system, the shifts will end at 12 noon and start at 3 pm. Areas above 3000 feet above sea level where there is no possibility of sun exposure are excluded from the scope of this order.
