sisodia

The resignation of Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who was arrested by the CBI in a corruption case related to liquor policy in Delhi, and another jailed minister Satyendra Kumar Jain from the cabinet is a very appropriate step. Although Sisodia's resignation came when his attempt to get bail from the Supreme Court failed, his resignation is a victory for the people who stand against corruption.

What should the common people learn from the fact that corruption is increasing in the Aam Aadmi Party, which emerged on the sole promise of standing against corruption? It is alleged that a bribe of 30 crores was given to frame the cancelled liquor policy. The Aam Aadmi Party is alleging that the BJP is using the CBI against them as part of vendetta politics. If that is the case, the question remains as to why the Delhi government cancelled the liquor policy of 2021. If there is a clear conviction that no corruption has taken place, no party will be willing to change any policy unless there is public outrage.

The CBI informed the court that it has obtained enough evidence from a digital device seized from the Delhi Excise Department to name Sisodia an accused. No officer, who wishes to receive a pension after retirement, would be willing to arrest a deputy chief minister without any evidence just because of political pressure. Nowadays no one will assume that politicians are honest just because they went to Raj Ghat and prayed. Sisodia also appeared for questioning after bowing down before Gandhi Samadhi. This is a land where many politicians have committed corruption even while wearing the Khadi dress recommended by Gandhiji. Both Honest people and liars can be seen using the name of Gandhiji. Gandhi was equally honest in word, deed and thought. However, the Aam Aadmi Party itself, which announced that it would end corruption, is falling into the pit of corruption. Doesn't this prove that those who believe what they say are fools?

Manish Sisodia was in charge of 18 portfolios of the Delhi government, including finance. The portfolios of Satyendra Kumar Jain, who has been in jail for the past ten months after being arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in a money laundering case, were also handed over to Sisodia. Giving so many portfolios to one person is tantamount to paving the way for corruption. Indications are that the liquor policy case will not be limited to Sisodia. The daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao may also face the probe. People feel no sympathy when corrupt politicians face action no matter what party they belong to.
