KOHIMA: BJP has given all credits to Prime Minister Modi for their victory in Nagaland. BJP spokesperson Nalin Kohli responded that this the result of Modi visiting the north eastern states for 51 times. In Nagaland, the BJP and its ally NDPP won 38 seats and retained power. They also managed to contribute a woman MLA for the first time after independence.
“PM went to north eastern states for 51 times. No other Prime Minister before him has done this. We developed the highways and brought many projects for the people.”, said Kohli.
In Nagaland, the election was among three parties. The BJP, which won 12 seats last time, allied along with the Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party. NDPP contested in 40 seats and BJP in 20 seats. 183 candidates contested in th elections. There are 13 lakh voters in the state.
