THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Transport Minister Antony Raju on Thursday said that KSRTC will not be privatized and no one will be forced to take VRS.
"KSRTC SWIFT is an organization under the government. In KSRTC there is no requirement that employees should receive salaries in instalments. The KSRTC management wishes to give salaries to the employees within the fifth of every month. Sometimes the government will be able to provide assistance only on the 10th. In this situation, a circular was issued stating that the salary should be paid in instalments to those who demand it urgently. Those who do not want to receive their salary in instalments can be paid in one lump sum if they give a written reply. However, none of the employees except the trade union leaders has given written replies in this way. The management has not taken a unilateral decision. There has been constant discussion with the trade unions on all issues. No one will be allowed to take any decision contrary to LDF policy," Antony Raju said.
