The Opposition had staged a walkout on Wedneday after the Speaker denied permission for the adjournment motion notice over the issue of loss of crores of rupees by way of unclaimed Integrated Goods and Services Tax (IGST).
Depriving the right of the opposition
VD Satheesan alleged that the Speaker, who is supposed to protect the rights of the opposition, is conniving with the arrogance of the Chief Minister and the ministers. "We don't want to break into the speaker's chamber. We cannot cooperate with the Speaker if he encroaches on the rights of the opposition. This is the Kerala Legislative Assembly, not the CPM State Committee," Satheesan said.
