LONDON: Rahul Gandhi gave a lecture on the topic 'Learning to listen in the 21st century' at Cambridge University and described the challenges faced by the Indian democracy. Rahul alleged that an attack has been unleashed on the basic structure of Indian democracy. He also claimed that Israeli spyware Pegasus was being used to snoop into his phone.

“Indian democracy is under attack. We're trying to defend the attack on democracy. I myself had Pegasus on my phone. A large number of politicians had Pegasus on their phones. So, I had to be careful while using the phone.”, Rahul said.

“The institutional framework which is required for a democracy -- Parliament, free press, the judiciary, just the idea of mobilisation, moving around -- all are getting constrained. There have also been attacks on minorities and the press.”, alleged Rahul Gandhi.

A former student of Cambridge University, Rahul Gandhi is currently a visiting fellow there.

He arrived in London last Tuesday for a week-long tour. He appeared in an executive look with his beard and hair cut off which he had grown during the Bharat Jodo Yatra. Rahul's pictures which were shared on social media with the hashtag 'new look' had gone viral.
