KASARGOD: A woman who was undertaking treatment for burn injures after her clothes accidentally caught fire from cooking stove has died. The deceased was identified as P Reshmi (23), daughter of Adukathubayal native K Ratnakaran Nair. The incident happened on January 21. She died on Thursday morning.

Reshmi’s clothes caught fire from the kerosene stove at her uncle's house. While she turning to change the boiling water from the stove, her clothes caught fire from behind. Reshmi, who was undergoing treatment in a hospital in Mangalore due to severe burns, was shifted to a private hospital in Kasargod the other day. She died while undergoing treatment here.

Reshmi was an employee at an online service center in Poinachi town. She was a dance student at Chattanchal Thrayam Kala Kendra and had participated in many dance shows. The tragic death happened when Reshmi was about to get married this month.
