THRISSUR: Former MLA Anil Akkara came to the fore with more revelations in the Wadakkanchery Life Mission controversy. The chief minister’s statement that he is not involved in the corruption is baseless, Akkara said at the press meet convened. He revealed the report of Life Mission CEO U V Jose prepared on August 20 in 2020 and given to the local self-government minister.
He released the letter of Life Mission CEO U V Jose given to former minister A C Moideen’s private secretary. Consul General and representatives of Red Crescent attended the meeting and accused the chief minister for violating foreign donation control rules.
On the fourth page of the report, it is stated that the MoU was signed by the CEO of Life Mission on July 11 in 2019 as per the decision of the meeting chaired by the chief minister. However, nowhere it is said that the flat is being built on the land owned by the Wadakkanchery Municipality.
The decision was taken in the meeting presided over by the chief minister who is the chairman of Life Mission. A ruler from abroad and the chief minister decided to entrust UNITAC to Wadakkanchery Municipality. The decision in conjunction with the UAE Consulate is violation of FCRA (Foreign Contribution Regulation Act) regulations. Neither the chief minister nor the agencies in foreign countries have the power to take such a decision. Swapna Suresh had in her statement to the ED said that this meet was held in Cliff House. Its chats had surfaced. The conspiracy started from Cliff House.
The chief minister is the master brain. We have all the evidences to expose every lie. However, the evidences will not be handed over to the investigating agencies. All the evidences will be produced before the Supreme Court, he said.
