THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The capital city will host the first joint military exercise between the Indian Army and the French Army. The military exercise 'FRINJEX-23' will be held on the 7th and 8th of March at Pangod military center in Thiruvananthapuram. This is the first time the two countries have engaged in a military exercise in a team format consisting of a company group.
The French contingent attending the exercise is part of the French Marine Regiment's DIXMUDE mission. The objective of the exercise is to enhance interoperability, coordination, and cooperation between the two forces at the strategic level. Based on the theme of "Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Operations in Adverse Situations", the military exercise involving the Thiruvananthapuram-based Indian Army troops and the French 6th Light Armored Brigade will be held in the largest contingent ever. It is estimated that the joint military exercise can create a strong foundation between the two countries for peace and unity.
