KARACHI: It is reported that there is a possibility of conflict in Pakistan as the police arrived to arrest former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan from his residence. Many party workers reached the area to resist the arrest. The police arrived at Imran's residence in Zaman Park, Lahore with an arrest warrant related to the Toshakhana case. After knowing this, Imran asked the party workers to reach in front of his residence as soon as possible to prevent the arrest. Considering the possibility of conflict, a large police force has been deployed around Imran's residence. Imran has been detained and ordered to appear in court on March 7. It is also reported that the Inspector General of Islamabad has issued an order to ensure that Imran Khan is arrested today.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Party (PTI) Senior Vice President Fawad Chaudhary has warned that any attempt to arrest Imran Khan will worsen the situation. "I want to warn this incompetent, anti-Pakistan government not to push Pakistan into further crisis and to act sensibly.," said Fawad Chaudhary.

Toshakhana case is about the illegal sale of valuable gifts received during his tenure as Prime Minister. The law in Pakistan states that when selling gifts like this, the authorities must be informed in advance and if the value of the items sold is less than a certain amount, it can be kept or else given to a system called Toshakhana. The case against Imran is that he violated this and resold the discounted goods at a higher price. The Election Commission found Imran Khan guilty and barred him from holding office.
