MUMBAI: Piyush Sharma is a known face in Bollywood. The veteran carved a space in the reel world with the neo-noir Gangs of Wasseypur. The actor, also a famed musician with a celebrated band has just released his autobiographical novel "Tumhari Auqaat Kya Hai Piyush Mishra". However, the details in the book were no ho-hum but had all those ingredients needed to pen some good glitzy column.
Piyush Sharma through his autobiography has revealed the sexual assault he faced from a lady relative when he was studying in class seventh.
“ Sex is healthy. But in order to suit yourself into the act, it is mandatory that your first sexual experience be a remarkable one. However, that was not the case for me. I was assaulted by a female member and the incident left me shocked. I was fully constrained in that abyss of shock and took a reasonable time to come out scathed. Even I have faced the same in the film world. I am restricting myself from revealing names since they are the current hot properties in the tinsel world.” Mishra says.
"I wanted to write a novel for a long time, but now it is out of the way. I don't want to stay as a music director, and neither do I want to sing. I don't want to just act... Now, I have film direction on my mind. That is something I want to explore. Let's see when that happens," the 60-year-old theatre veteran said.
Also an acclaimed songwriter, Mishra is happy that he can jump ships according to his whims. He composed songs for movies including "Gangs of Wasseypur" and even his single featured in the international music franchise coke studio.
