There was news recently that nearly 40 customers of a private bank in Mumbai had lost lakhs in three days. Money was lost after clicking on the link asking to update KYC and PAN information.

Reports surfaced that actress Shwetha Menon was also a victim of the bank fraud. Reports said she lost Rs 57,636 from her account. The actress has now responded to the reports on Facebook.

Her post said
‘I just wanted to clear up some confusion that has been going around since morning. Due to an error made by The Times of India, they mistakenly tagged me in their article, which has led to calls from my friends and family. I want to make it clear that I wasn't scammed. She also thanked everyone for their concern.
