MALA: A major fire has broken out in Mala in Thrissur. The fire broke out in a field behind the Believers Church Hospital in Mala. Efforts are continuing to put out the fire. The incident took place today afternoon. The cause of the fire is unclear.

According to sources, about 35 acres of the field were burnt. There is no casualty. The field is owned by Believers hospital management. This is an uncultivated area. The field is mostly covered with bushes and shrubs. It is believed that the grass might have caught fire in the extreme heat.
