THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state police force is tightly shielding Attukal with a protective blanket. Under the tutelage of city police commissioner C H Nagaraju, 4000 police personnel will line up for duty in Attukal. SP B Krishnakumar will take up the overall duty in Attukal. Every 10 m gap in roads, lanes, and auditorium will have a lady police personnel on duty.

More than 100 places near Attukal will be surveilled through CCTV cameras. More than 300 patrol vehicles will roam the premises. Additional forces in hundreds will work on mufti and as shadow police to nab chain snatchers and other culprits looking for business today.

The police have confirmed the security measures and look confident with the work conducted. The traffic regulation will be applicable in the city during the Pongala hours. The security measures will run similarly even after the Pongala ends.
