THRISSUR: Police have issued a lookout notice for the accused in the death of a private bus driver who was undergoing treatment for moral policing assault. There are eight accused in the case. A special investigation team has been appointed under the leadership of Irinjalakuda Rural SP Aishwarya Dongre to nab them. Sahar was brutally beaten up by moral policing goons after he reached his female friend's house. SP Aishwarya Dongre said that the delay in the arrest will be investigated. A crucial turning point in the case came when the CCTV footage of the attack came out. It is reported that Rahul, one of the accused, has gone abroad and the other accused are trying to get anticipatory bail.
The incident related to the case took place at midnight on February 18th. It is reported that the young man was brought out of the house of his friend, who is the expatriate's wife and beaten up. According to reports, the young man came to their house after receiving a phone call in the middle of the night. The moral policing goons came to question his visit to a female friend's house and attacked him. After the incident, Sahar reached his home and screamed in pain. His mother and relatives immediately rushed Sahar to the hospital. He was shifted to a ventilator earlier due to his deteriorating health condition. He died while undergoing treatment in critical condition.
The footage of Sahar being beaten was caught on the CCTV of a nearby temple. The accused were identified from the footage. At the same time, the non-arrest of the accused in the case has caused anger.
