NEW DELHI: The BJP has formed a supervisory committee to strengthen the work in 160 constituencies, where the party lost in the last Lok Sabha elections. The committee, comprising three national general secretaries, will decide matters from booth-level activities to the campaign schedule of leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The committee comprises general secretaries Sunil Bansal, Vinod Tawde and Tarun Chugh along with Naresh Bansal MP, who is in charge of UP, national secretary Harish Dwivedi MP and national vice president Baijayant "Jay" Panda. The task of the committee is to create a winning situation in all 160 constituencies through a year's work. Sunil Bansal has led the party to continued success in Uttar Pradesh. He is also in direct charge of the states of Odisha, Telangana and West Bengal.

Duties of supervisory committee
