ALAPPUZHA: Agriculture officer who was arrested in fake currency note case has been suspended. M Jishamol, the agriculture officer of Edathua in Alappuzha has been suspended from service. The police arrested Jishamol in the counterfeit note case last day.
The fraud came to light when a person gave the notes he received from Jishamol, to the bank. A seller of fishing equipment who is an acquaintance of Jishamol reached the bank with seven counterfeit notes of Rs 500. When he revealed that it was Jishamol who gave the notes, the police interrogated her. But it is reported that she was not ready to reveal the source of the fake notes despite being questioned for a long time. Then the police recorded the arrest. The police conducted raid in her house but nothing suspicious was found.
At the same time, it is also suspected that someone else has framed Jishamol by giving fake notes. The police are investigating all these matters in detail. Jishamol, who lives in a rented house in Alappuzha, is also active in modeling. She has participated in many fashion shows. She is a BSc Agriculture graduate and had previously worked as an air hostess. In 2009, she was a field officer in Spices Board. Later she became a VHSE tutor in Muvattupuzha. In 2013, she joined the service as an agriculture officer.
