THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Karnataka Police has registered a case against Vijesh Pillai, who was accused of acting as an intermediary to settle the gold smuggling case by Swapna Suresh. Swapna Suresh stated in a Facebook post that the case was registered on her complaint. Swapna Suresh wrote in the post along with a picture of her standing at the Krishnarajapuram police station that her statement was recorded.

She was taken to the hotel where the discussion was held for the settlement of the gold smuggling case and evidence was collected. The hotel management informed the police that another person was staying with Vijesh Pillai. The note also says 'Who's that anonymous person who remained in the background'.

Last day, Swapna Suresh revealed that she was offered Rs 30 crore to settle the gold smuggling case. Swapna said that she was asked to hand over all the evidence related to the Chief Minister and if she did not compromise, they threatened to kill her. But Vijesh Pillai denied the allegations.
