KOCHI: Chief Minister's former principal secretary M Sivashankar, who is on remand in the Life Mission corruption case, has been admitted to the hospital. He was transferred from the jail to the Kalamasery Medical College after he was showing physical ailments.
In the Life Mission case, M Sivashankar was the first arrest recorded by ED. Earlier, Sivashankar had informed the court that he has physical ailments and should be granted bail considering that. But after the ED opposed the bail plea, the court remanded him. He fell ill in jail and was shifted to the hospital when his bail application was to be considered again on Monday.
