HYDERABAD: CISF's 54th Raising Day Parade was held in the capital of Telangana. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also attended the event. The day Amit Shah arrived was a crucial day for the Telangana government. He arrived in Telangana a day after the ED questioned Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao's daughter K Kavitha. Due to this, the visit gained political importance.

In protest against Amit Shah, Telangana's ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) put up huge flex banners at several places in Hyderabad. The most notable among these was the big poster of the Nirma girl, the model of the iconic 'Washing Powder Nirma' advertisement. On the board welcoming Amit Shah, But the banner had a twist, instead of the girl’s face there were images of leaders who had joined the BJP from other parties. These include pictures of the leaders who are now holding important positions in the BJP like Himanta Biswa Sharma, Narayan Rane, Suvendu Adhikari, Sujana Chaudhary and Eshwarappa. The morphed pictures of Nirma girl with the face of the leaders went viral on social media.

The ED questioned K Kavitha, BRS MLA and daughter of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, in the Delhi liquor scam case. Union Home Minister Amit Shah attended the Raising Day Parade today. He is also coming to Kerala after this event. He will arrive in Thrissur to participate in various programs.
