THRISSUR: A court has sentenced a 58-year-old man to 35 years in prison and a fine of Rs 80,000 for sexually abusing a three-year-old boy. It was the Irinjalakkuda fast-track special court that convicted Chalakudy Pariyaram native Wilson after finding that he had sexually abused the child after taking him from the roadside.

The court stated that the accused will have to spend an additional two years and nine months in jail if he fails to pay the fine.
