THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Metropolitan Kuriakose Mar Clemis said that the peace created by the court verdict should not be disturbed. He was inaugurating the fasting prayer held at Palayam St. George's Cathedral under the auspices of the Malankara Orthodox Syriac Church against the government's law-making move. He said that we have an obligation to protest against the government's stance through a tolerant struggle and the prayers of the brave ancestors who fought for freedom from foreign invasion are with us.

Dr Gabriel Mar Gregorios Metropolitan conducted the introductory speech. He said that while the court decision that parishes should be governed according to the constitution remains, the move to allow freedom of worship to those who do not accept it is unjust. Dr. Mathews Mar Timothy, President of the clergy, presided. Adv Biju Oommen, Association Secretary, moved the protest motion.
