BENGALURU: Action OTT platform CEO Vijesh Pillai is absconding, says Karnataka Police. It was Bengaluru KR Puram Police who registered a case against Vijesh on a complaint filed by Swapna Suresh alleging that there was a threat to her life. The police informed that Vijesh's phone is switched off and a notice has been sent on WhatsApp to appear. The DCP stated that Vijesh has not yet responded and will seek the help of the Kerala Police if necessary.

However, Vijesh Pillai has come forward with a response to the incident. He told the media that he is not absconding and will cooperate with the investigation and that his phone is not switched off. Vijesh Pillai also stated that he has not received the notice from the Bengaluru police. Vijesh has been booked under Section 506 of the Penal Code for intimidation.

Swapna alleges that Vijesh has threatened to kill her if she does not withdraw her disclosures in the gold smuggling case and leave the country. She had also said that Vijesh was sent by CPM state secretary MV Govindan. The complaint also states that Vijesh offered Rs 30 crore to destroy the evidence against the Chief Minister and his family.
