NEW DELHI: Six members of a family died after inhaling carbon monoxide produced from the burning mosquito coil. North East district DCP informed that six people were found dead in a house in Shastri Park.
It is reported that the family lit the mosquito coil before going to bed at night. Two family members who were with them are undergoing treatment in the hospital. After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot in the morning and took all those people to the hospital. But the doctors declared that the six of them were brought dead.
“The door and windows of the house were closed at night. Due to this, the smoke filled the room. The deceased inhaled carbon monoxide produced as a result of the overnight burning of mosquito repellant while they were sleeping.”, informed the police. No details have been revealed about the health condition of those undergoing treatment.
