THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Controversies and allegations against LDF convenor and CPM central committee member EP Jayarajan have been dropped by CPM.
"There is no objection and no decision against EP Jayarajan"- State Secretary MV Govindan said while explaining the decisions of the State Committee, in a press conference yesterday.
The allegation made by P Jayarajan in relation to Vaidekam Resort in Kannur at the state committee meeting in December was what laid a foundation for the EP Jayarajan controversy in the party. The party secretary denied the news. Later in an interview given to a weekly, EP Jayarajan admitted that P Jayarajan had made the allegations against him. EP Jayarajan spoke openly in the state secretariat that there is a conspiracy against him in the party. The matter was left to the state committee but with the statement of the state secretary yesterday, now it is a closed chapter.
EP Jayarajan also attended the two-day state committee meeting where the rectification document was discussed. P Jayarajan did not attend the first day but arrived yesterday.
The rectification process will be implemented up to the branch level from now on. For that, it was decided to call the area committees and conduct discussions. State Secretary MV Govindan said in a press conference that the process of correcting mistakes has been decided to continue throughout the life of the party. When asked about the complaint against former Palakkad MLA and KTDC chairman PK Shashi, Govindan replied that the party would not accept anything wrong.
There is no center where the Jatha did not succeed
MV Govindan said that the Janakeeya Prathirodha Jatha was well received in all the 130 centers it has traveled to and there is no center where it has failed. The news that Jatha's shortcomings will be checked is false. Govindan clarified that some people saying it is Govindan's Jatha is a wrong usage.
