THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM looks to take into favor the people of the state in establishing a solid centralized waste plant in the state. The mission of separate waste plants in Vilapilshala and Brahmapuram crumbled into ignominious lows calling for the government to go with a centralized waste plant scheme. The people in the state have always shown general neglect and apprehension toward such waste plants.

Starting from May 2 to 14th, the CPM workers will go for a door-to-door program giving basics on how to tackle the waste piled during monsoon with the help of a centralized waste plant. The CPM state committee has also asked the workers to take part in cleaning activities and other social ones surrounding waste management.

State secretary M V Govindan said the people will be convinced about the waste management method and will be made aware that the solution not just relies completely on government hands.
