THRISSUR: Police have registered a case in the incident where an elder in the family died after consuming food from home. Sasindhran(57) died in dubious circumstances while his wife and mother have been admitted to the hospital with similar troubles. Two other workers who had food from Sasindhran's home were also admitted under similar ailment.

The preliminary findings point to the food being poisonous. Sasindhran after consuming idli went near an ATM to draw money. However, he felt unconscious and vomited blood which made the public take notice and admit him to the nearby hospital. Soon after, Sasindhran was confirmed dead in a rare case of food poisoning.

Meanwhile, the relatives of Sasindhran decided to not do a postmortem but were soon forced to change their stance after four more people were admitted to the hospital after consuming food from the same house. Sasindhran's son, who was out of the home during morning was saved from not consuming the food. A clear understanding of the situation will be possible only with the completion of the postmortem report.
