KILIMANOOR: A primary school teacher who was riding a scooter died after a speeding car hit her. The deceased Ajila (32) was accompanied by her son Aryan (5), who was admitted to Gokulam Medical College Hospital with serious injuries. Ajila is the wife of Balush in MSA Cottage in Pappala. Balush is running an online business. The accident took place at Porunthaman on MC Road at around 4 pm on Sunday. Ajila, a a teacher at a private school, was on her way to her friend's house in Vamanapuram from Kilimanoor when an oncoming car hit her scooter. After the initial collision, the car hit another oncoming car and a stationed car before coming to a halt. The injured Ajila and her son were taken to Gokulam Medical College, but Ajila's life could not be saved. The driver of the car that caused the accident was taken into custody.
