VAZHAKKAD: A woman was found dead at her husband's house here. The deceased Poothadammal Najumunneesa (32), a resident of Nerothu in Cheruvathur, was found dead on the terrace of her house on Sunday morning. There is a wound on her forehead. She went to her husband's house from her own house on Saturday evening. Vazhakad police reached the spot after being informed by the locals.

Fingerprint experts and dog squad conducted further examination. After the post-mortem at the Kozhikode Medical College, Najumunnesa's body was buried on Sunday night at the Great Juma Masjid in Vazhakkad. Her husband, Muhiyuddin, was taken into custody and questioned. Police said further action will be taken after receiving the post-mortem report. Najumunneesa's father: Poothadammal Ali.
