THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: 14 were convicted by the court in the infamous Attapadi Madhu case. The verdict was influenced by a vital and decisive magisterial report. It was prepared by Geromic George, the now district collector of Thiruvananthapuram. He was busy with work when the verdict came. Geromic expressed fulfillment and utmost satisfaction with how the case unfolded. When the incident shook Kerala five years back, George was serving as the nodal officer in Attapady. He was in the nascent stage of his career when pressure piled on him to prepare a magisterial report on a case that garnered national attention. Geroge now heaves a sigh of relief and says 'Satyameva Jayate.

The report said about Madhu suffering injuries after being taken into custody. He was prosecuted by the court for the report he prepared. The report also said about Madhu’s death before reaching the hospital. The inquest report marks a total of 15 injuries found in the tribal man's body. The report also had vital statements from SI Prasad Varkey, doctor Leema Francis, and Madhu’s relative Murugan.
