KOZHIKODE: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan congratulated the investigating team for arresting the accused in the train attack case. In a Facebook post, he lauded all the police officers involved in the investigation, Maharashtra ATS, central intelligence and other agencies including the railways.

‘Heartily congratulating the investigation team for arresting the accused in the incident of setting fire to Alappuzha-Kannur Executive Express in which three people were killed and nearly 10 injured.

Directed the state police chief to find the offenders soon after the shocking incident happened.

A special investigation team was formed and evidence including scientific tests was conducted. As part of that was able to nab the accused from near Ratnagiri in Maharashtra. The accused was taken into police custody when the investigation in the case was continuing in various parts of the country. The attacker, who fled from the spot, was nabbed within three days as a result of the investigative excellence of the Kerala Police and the cooperation of various agencies from other states and the country.

Congratulating all the police officers who participated in the investigation and other agencies that cooperated, including Maharashtra ATS, central intelligence and the railways.'
